MEET the 2018 Camp Pineshore TEAM~

Jenny Strong serves as a jack of all trades at Camp Pineshore.  Whether it be recruiting and hiring staff, arranging daily schedules, shopping for groceries or jumping in to a competitive game of Nukem if it is Pineshore related you will likely find her involved.  Her love for our Lord can been seen in her dedicated commitment to making this camp program a successful journey of faith for our youth.  Jenny has been a part of Camp Pineshore since she began as a camper at 9 years old and has never left!  Over the past 27 year span she has served as a CIT, Counselor, Lifeguard, Cook and Assistant Director.  When Jenny is not having fun at Pineshore she serves as a lawyer for the United States Air Force at Hanscom Air Force Base.  Jenny loves to run and loves to scrapbook.

Camp Lifeguard

Emma is 17 years old and is an American Red Cross certified Lifeguard. She is the daughter and niece of LCMS pastors. She will graduate high school in 2018 and will begin studying Mathematics Secondary Education at the University of Mobile this Fall. She has been a camper at Pineshore since she was 9 years old and has volunteered over the years as an assistant cook, CIT, and counselor. She loves everything about Pineshore, from team competition games to singing and having devotions by the campfire. Witnessing all the campers grow closer to each other and to God each year is such an amazing blessing.

Sunday School Week

Rev. Mark Clow was born and raised in a northwestern suburb of Chicago.  He was baptized and confirmed at Our Redeemer LCMS in Prospect Heights, where his dad and mom still attend. He has an older sister, Karen (married with four children), who lives in a nearby suburb.  He was married in 1997 to Patty and has two children.  After graduating from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis in 1998, he served as an associate pastor at Lutheran Church of the Savior in Bedford, Ma and has been at Grace Lutheran church from 2001 where he currently still serves.  The Clow family loves New England whether hiking, biking, or on the beach by the ocean.

Pastor Rob Morris is the pastor at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Newtown, CT. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Christy, for almost 14 years. They have two sons: Elijah, who is 10, and Isaiah, who is 7. This is his first year serving and Pineshore!  The whole family enjoys camping, hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking - pretty much anything that gets them outdoors. They love music and each can play a few instruments. They love campfires, s'mores, cookouts and games. They love Jesus and thank God that He loves us and forgives them. They love the Bible and learning more about it. They love worshipping together with other believers. And they are all really looking forward to a great week at Pineshore this summer!

Sunday School Week Nurse-

Jake Kreyling is a former camper, counselor, cook and medical staff over the years for Camp Pineshore.  Camp Pineshore is close to my heart, as it fostered and built up my faith as a child and was the best part of the summer every year growing up.  Camp Pineshore continues to be the highlight of my family's summer, with three of our six children attending this year.  I'm excited to continue working as camp EMT for my third year, looking forward to seeing past campers and new faces.  I'm a career Firefighter/EMT on the North Shore and will be bringing my wife Lauren and our six children, ages 10, 10, 9, 7, 7, and 1.  We are currently attending a church plant in Bevelry, MA helping serve the North Shore communities of Massachusetts.

Junior High Week

Rev. Timothy Sandeno is excited to return for his fourth year as a camp chief. He is looking forward to meeting new campers and reacquainting with those returning to the junior high school week. Serving as the pastor at Redeemer in Gorham, Maine, he also spends his time in support of a local pregnancy center, the sr. and jr. high school swim teams, and veteran causes. He also enjoys fishing, remodeling his house and relaxing with family.

Rev. David Brezina is Associate Pastor at Messiah Lutheran in Lynnfield, Ma. He is a novice, a beginner, a newbie, a neophyte, a fledgling-rookie. in other words, a first-time camper (EVER!)  He graduated from Concordia Seminary’s SMP program and was ordained in 2012.  Pastor Brezina has one daughter and two grandchildren. He is a fan of the Red Sox and the New England Patriots and enjoys gardening and yard work and relaxing on a beach in the summer, and woodworking and occasionally skiing in the winter.  He doesn’t like to rake leaves or shovel snow, but he LOVES reminding people that Jesus loves them and exploring the Bible in adult & youth Bible Studies!  Pastor Brezina is a life-long Lutheran; baptized in Christ at St. John’s L.C. in Westfield Ma., confirmed in his faith at Beautiful Savior L.C. in Bridgeton, Mo. and he has been growing in his faith for nearly 50 years at Messiah L.C. in Lynnfield.  He’s anticipating a great week learning how to be a camper, meeting new people, and sharing Jesus with the Pineshore campers and counselors. S’mores anybody?

Senior High Week

Rev. James Hopkins, the son of Rev. Paul & Joan Hopkins, is a native of Chicago, IL. His education includes a B.A. in Sociology and Spanish from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL, a MDiv. from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN, and graduate studies in International Relations at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
